The Cousins on Christmas Eve
Train from Uncle Chet and Aunt Kerrin

The DRUM!! From Papa J and Nana

What a wonderful Christmas we had! Nate was so much fun this year. He received many great gifts from family and friends. The main gift I received this year was being reminded about the true meaning of the season which was Christ's love for us all. Through his amazing love he gave us family and friends that love us. He gave me my own son so that I may have a tiny understanding of God's unconditional love for us. Watching him grow this past year has been amazing. I can't even begin to imagine how Mary felt holding Christ in her arms, knowing he was truly heaven sent.
So as we wind down 2009 I end with this...thank you all for the love you constantly portray to our family. Thank you most of all to God for the wonderful life you have given me!

Below are videos of Nate opening gifts and playing his new drum. What a lovely sound in our house these days!!!

Snow Day!

We love snow at our house! Even though we didn't get as much by being located a little farther south, we sure made time to enjoy it. It wasn't light and fluffy, instead it was hard and crunchy! Ice covered snow filled our yard and roads. We made the best of what we had and wrapped Nate up like he lived in the North Pole and let him venture through what is very unfamiliar to him. It was so cute watching him stumble and fall (I know that sounds mean...but it was adorable). Thought we would share the morning with you.

Nate and Santa

Nate says "ho, ho ho!" He loved meeting Santa...could not take his eyes off him. What a great night watching Nate's amazement and wonder over this jolly old man!
(and you may notice in the picture a shoe is missing...it fell off and we didn't realize it until after the pictures).

Quack! Quack!

We visited Broadway at the Beach during our Thanksgiving weekend. We met some very tame ducks while there. I got some great pictures of Nate feeding them and chasing them. We also saw them swimming in a little fountain. They were so fun to watch, so I posted a video of that also.

Thanksgiving

Thought I would share a few photos of Nate (and me) enjoying Thanksgiving lunch at his Nana and Papa J's house.

Lights Out!

Nate is a great climber! After all this time he has figured out how to climb on the toy box and turn his lights on and off. This all started after he found out his toy box can also be a bench seat. Then of course came the climbing. A new found independence...turning his own lights on and off! Ohhhh, what is next?

My Sleeping Baby Boy

I love how precious he looks when he is sleeping. I wanted to share one of those sweet moments with everybody.

Nate and his Mustang!

Nate was showing off in his Papa J's mustang. He has already decided this classic will be his one day! He is such a little Hot Rod, LOL!

Halloween

I meant to get these on here a couple weeks ago! At any rate here they are...

We were the Wizard of Oz characters (if you couldn't tell). Nate was Tin Man, Chris was Scarecrow and I was Dorothy. Kerrin and Morghen participated also as the Witch and her little Flying Monkey! FUN TIMES!

We had a busy evening of course! It started at Nana and Papa J's house for a Halloween present. Then we went to our church's fall festival where Nate rode a hayride and did his 1st trunk or treat! The night ended with trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood!

Pumpkin Time

Every year we let Nate clean out his own pumpkin. Last year was so sweet! His little chubby hands just dove right in! This year Nate was a little skeptical about sticking his hand inside. Instead he had to use a spoon. It was funny...Chris got to do all the real messy work.

Ba..nana!

I just love how Nate says banana! It is so much cuter than the correct way! Unfortunately since this was taken he has fixed it and it sounds right (what a few weeks does). At any rate I wanted to post it so I wouldn't forget how cute he used to say it. (This is before breakfast one morning.) I usually wouldn't stick my child on the stove, but that is kind of where he ended up so I could shoot this video. :-)

Farmer Boy

This is Nate on his Pop's tractor! This sure does beat daddy's little lawn mower!
