Waddle Waddle, Off I Go!

Nate is now walking! He took his first steps back in December. However, not being so sure that he liked being on his feet, that's about all he did (a few steps). He progressively has gotten better and now takes off through the room. He really likes to go fast so we have a lot of falls. In the process of taking these two videos we had several "accidents," one ending with a sore mouth. Even though he is developing bruises and knots, Chris and are so proud of our little guy and all his new achievements!

You've Got A Friend!

Pictured here is Nate and his best friend from church Micah! These two go way back, a whole year! I remember holding Micah when he was first born and being so nervous that in a month, I too would have a newborn. As I was thinking about this and how "fragile" Micah seemed to me, Nate kicks upward as hard as he could. It was a "friend to friend" hello kick. At that moment I knew Nate had a friend for life:)

Now a year later the two continue to play together. They already have a great history. They were dedicated together at church last summer and and continue to "fellowship" and learn about God each week in nursery!

Lifelong friends are hard to come by, but I am excited about these two growing and learning about God's love together. Life is always better when you have a friend to share it with.

The Jarrell's First Blog!

In an effort to keep up with technology, I have decided to start a blog for our friends to keep up with the Jarrell House! Unfortunately I fail to call friends and family as I should to update them on our life and Nate's wonderful growth!

So our new journey begins here at the jarrellhouse blog spot. Nate is 11 months old (today). Yes, I know, it has taken me this long to "get it together" enough to begin something as "high tech" as this. Chris and I are moving up in society! We now have wireless Internet. I know I am behind on times when my parents have even had wireless for like a year or so now. What happened??? They are teaching me about technology.
Below you will find pictures of Nate. The first one is of him at Christmas in his Santa Claus outfit from his aunt Kerrin. The one with the funny hat is him out in his first snow. You will also see him in his ball pit (thank you Santa), and in his fire truck (thank you Papa J and Nana).
