Nate immensely enjoyed feeding the animals from his bucket and hand on the wagon ride at the ranch! We saw such neat animals. Of course upon departure when I asked which animal was his favorite…”the horses, I a cowboy!” Out of all the animals including oxen, buffalo, deer, llamas, ostriches, giraffes, zebras and many more…Nate liked the horses that pulled our wagon around. We really enjoyed the day with Connie, Landon and Mason! They made it so special for Nate! Great friends are a special gift!!!

Choo-Choo All Aboard the Tweetsie Express!!!
“Tweetsie you’re a blast from the past” and we had a great time there. Cooler weather in the mountains accompanied our great time. Our first family vacation in a cabin, or as Nate insisted it be called a “cabbage.” I found out quickly I am not too much of a woods girl. The dampness and darkness really made me feel down. Going out and about Blowing Rock and Boone however made up for it! During this trip Nate discovered several things
2. That he wanted to be a cowboy and carry a gun:
3. That a river is not the same thing as an ocean:
4. The mountains have great playgrounds too:
5. Mountain food is delicious:
6. Bears are BIG:
7. Ferris Wheels go fast and high:
8. Kid’s rides are much more fun than the Ferris wheel:
9. You can not just kill deer, but feed them too:
10. A goat could make a sweet pet (especially the one that followed Nate around):
12. He is a star:
13. Trips are tiring:
Some cute videos of Nate from the trip:

Zoo with Gram
My mom and I took Nate to the zoo in July and it was a wonderful day. Nate is really into the animals now so we try to go as often as possible. He got so excited watching all of them. So I ask him as we were leaving what his favorite animal was. “The tigers!” he responded. Unfortunately there are no tigers at the NC Zoo. Guess he is destined to be a Fair Grove Tiger though!
Vacation 2010: The Beach
We went to the beach over July 4th and had a wonderful family vacation. Nate loves the water and took off full blast toward it every chance he got. We also visited Medieval Times where he sat in awe for two straight hours! Life since has consisted of horses, castles and sword fights! You will also find pictures of Nate with his new golf clubs! Yes, they are real. He is going pro next month we think…you should see his swing. Those were a gift from his Papa J. The other day he gave me one to use (in the house) and said “hit easy mommy.”
